Glenn E. Gibbel
of Carlinville, died Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Carlinville Area Hospital.
He was born Tuesday, March 25, 1919 in Girard, IL, the Son of Charles and the late Elizabeth (Shearer) Gibbel. He married Elizabeth A. (Edwards) in Girard on July 14, 1950 and she passed away July 22, 1996.
Glenn farmed in the Girard area, retiring in 1988.
Survivors: Son, Richard Gibbel of Girard, IL., Grandchildren, Christopher Gibbel (Erica), Kyle Gibbel (Laura), Eric Gibbel (Alyssa) Gibbel, Ashley Vinyard (B.J.), 10 Great Grandchildren and 3 Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Brother, Melvin and Great Grandson Cory Gibbel. Funeral Information
Graveside services will be held 9:30 A.M., Friday, July 23, 2010 at Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery with Randy Gilmore officiating.
Serving as Pallbearers for the service, Chris, Kyle and Eric Gibbel, B.J. Vinyard, Bill Fullington and Bob Crouch. Donations Information
Memorials may be made out to Emmanuel Baptist Church Building Fund.
