Jerry A. Killam
68,of Carlinville, passed away Sunday morning, January 10, 2010 in ICU at Memorial Medical Center,Springfield, IL after heart surgery.
He was born Friday, February 14, 1941 in Carlinville, IL, the only son to Truman Henry "T.H." and Ethel Mae (Alfrey) Killam.
He married Lois Hunt in Carlinville, IL on December 4, 1960.
Jerry was a graduate of Carlinville High School, class of 1959
Jerry was a grain farmer in Carlinville from 1960 until retirement in 2002. He enjoyed mowing his lawn and field road sides, vacationing, short road trips, and wintering in Florida. He took great pleasure spending time with his family.
Jerry was a past member of the Carlinville Jaycees, Macoupin County Fair Board, and Carlinville Elk's Lodge.
Survivors: Wife, Lois Killam of Carlinville, IL, Son, Richard Killam (Lisa) of Carlinville, IL, Daughter, Shelley Williams (Gregg) of Springfield, IL, Son, Daniel Killam (Lori) of Carlinville, IL, Grandchildren, Jay Killam (Melissa) Dane Killam, Dalton Williams Amanda Killam, Kirsten Williams Tyler Killam, Great Granddaughter, Allie Killam, and Sister, Kay Thompson of Lonedell, MO. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 13 at Carlinville Southern Baptist Church in Carlinville, IL.
Funeral services will be held at the Carlinville Southern Baptist Church in Carlinville at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, January 14, 2010 with Rev. Tim Rhodus officiating.
Pallbearers serving will be his grandchildren: Jay Killam, Dane Killam, Dalton Williams, Amanda Killam, Kirsten Williams and Tyler Killam.
Honorary Pallbearers: Richard Greenwalt, David Killam, Jerry Lippold and Gary Summers.
Burial will be next to his parents in Charity Cemetery rural Carlinville Donations Information
