Obituary of Ethel Lucille Kreoger

Ethel L. Kreoger 98, of Carlinville, died Thursday, December 3, 2009 at the Friendship Home. She was born and raised at Blue Ridge, East of Palmyra, Illinois until her marriage. She was born February 26, 1911, daughter of the late Truman Robert and Ora Blanche( Bettis) Pierson. She married Sylvester Kreoger in Palmyra, IL on February 26, 1928. They farmed and lived in Scottville area until his death in 1970. Ethel moved to Palmyra and later to Carlinville in 2000. She was a Homemaker and had worked for Passavant Hospital in Jacksonville for 22 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Palmyra . Survivors: Daughter, Roberta Whitlock (Kenny) of Carlinville, IL, Son, Edward Kreoger (Wilma) of Carlinville, IL, Son, Robert Kreoger (Lucille) of Palmyra, IL, 12 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren, 10 Great Great Grandchildren, Brother, Oren Pierson of Girard, IL, Sister, Ora Darlene Ferris of Palmyra, IL, Several Nieces & Nephews. She was preceded in death by Parents, Husband, Brother; Ralph Pierson, Sisters; Pearl Vance, Eileen Pierson, Viola Rothe, and Virda Ross, 1 Grandson and 1 Great Great Granddaughter. Funeral Information Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M., Sunday, December 6 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville, IL. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, December 7, 2009 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home with Rev. Justin Kinder officiating. Burial will be in Cherry Cemetery in rural Palmyra.
