Matthew S. Wagner
32, of Carlinville, passed away Wednesday morning, December 12, 2012 at DePaul Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Matt was born on January 5, 1980 to Curtis and Mary Kay (Elmer) Wagner in Belleville, IL. He graduated from Carlinville High School with the class of 1998 and received his bachelors degree in business from Illinois State University, graduating in 2002.
Matt was the owner of Wagner Insurance Agency in Carlinville, specializing in commercial insurance. He was a member of the Carlinville Elks Lodge #1412 for many years. Matt loved all sports, especially the Wisconsin Badgers, Green Bay Packers and the St. Louis Cardinals. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, competing in the local dart leagues and the Elks bowling league. Most of all, Matt loved spending time with his family and friends.
Matt is survived by his mother, Mary Kay Berry (Dan) of Carlinville; grandmother, Lucille Elmer of Monticello, WI; aunt, Carol Neu (Larry) of Arvada, CO; 2 cousins, Chris and Lindsay Neu both of CO; step grandmother, Dorothy Wagner of Bridgeport, CT; sister-in-law, Tarea M. Wagner of Carlinville and a nephew, Aiden Curtis Wagner at home.
He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Scott Wagner; brother, Mitchell W. "Mitch" Wagner; grandparents, Robert and Dorris Wagner and Willis H. Elmer. Funeral Information
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Carlinville United Methodist Church with Rev. Kevin Strope officiating.
Burial will take place in Moore Cemetery, rural Carlinville. Donations Information
