Condolences
So sorry for your loss he will truly be missed
Maggie and family,
My heart aches for you. I'm sorry for the
loss of Bob. When your heart is empty,
filling it with happy memories can help.
So very sad to hear of the passing of Mr. Rovey. Always enjoyed talking to him at Rural King. Always remember his dog would make a bee line to our house when we lived in Farmersville. Our deepest sympathy and prayers for all. Mike and Patty Makuta

Dear Maggie & Robert Rovey Family, Please accept our deep and sincere sympathy on the loss of your husband, father, loved one. Nothing I can say now will make your sorrow go away; and I'm sure you know we have turned you over to the Lord, praying for love, comfort, and the peace that truly does pass all understanding. So, I give you my memories of Robert as a cousin in hopes that with time, these may ease your very personal pain.
My memories of Robert begin with him and our cousin Joy being my very own doll babies in March and May of 1951. Up until then, I had been Fred & Dora Rovey's youngest grandchild; and it was great to have the pressure off. In addition to having two babies to play with, unlike Jane, who had to stay and babysit; I could go home to St. Louis. Next, I remember my huge pride when Robert, dressed as a Native American, bravely rode the farm pony, Duke, in a parade in Pocahontas, Illinois. Robert could only have been 5 or 6 years old and did a spectacular job. He won a prize back in the days when not every child received a 4-foot-high trophy just for showing up. Finally, Robert and my son Joe brought tears of gratitude to my eyes when they quietly filled in Joy's grave after her service at the Rovey cemetery over a decade ago. As we all scurried off to the delicious meal prepared by the gracious ladies of Zion Lutheran Church, I don't believe many words were exchanged, they just took on a precious chore that needed to be done. My late husband & I watched these two very dear men took care of my beloved cousin Joy and I saw my Grandpa Rovey's farm in the background. I knew how proud he must be of his offspring working together to honor his granddaughter and thought: This is how it should be. Thanks be to God! Amen.
