Nancy Sue Neunaber, 79, of Carlinville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, in Jacksonville, IL. Nancy was born March 25, 1945, in Carlinville, IL, a daughter of George and Lucille (Klaus) Ballinger. Nancy graduated from Carlinville High School with the class of 1963. She married Tom on June 12, 1965, in St. Mary's Catholic Church. Nancy was a devoted member of Rural United Methodist Church in Carlinville, IL. She was a homemaker and later enjoyed her time working at Cynmar in Carlinville until she retired and enjoyed many travels with Tom, including several winters as snowbirds in Florida having fun with lifelong friends. They shared 59 years of marriage, always at each other’s side. She was patient and kind and loved her girls very much. She was a master pie baker and a wonderful hostess over the years at the Rinaker Lake cabin and at home. She made friends wherever she went and was always happy. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and took them on many fun adventures and later loved getting to hold her beloved great-grandchildren. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024, from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville, IL. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 am, Monday, October 28, 2024 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville, with Reverend Jeremy Henson officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Ridge Cemetery, Carlinville. Nancy is survived by her husband, Tom Neunaber of Jacksonville, IL, daughter, Michelle (Matt) Smith of Pittsfield, IL, daughter, Amy (Bob) Stidham of Jacksonville, IL, granddaughter, Katie (Dr. Cameron) Willoughby of Jacksonville, IL, grandson, Jon (Brooke) Nelson of Springfield, IL, granddaughter, Lauren (Tommy) Burlet of Nashville, TN, great grandchildren; Eloise and Otto Willoughby of Jacksonville, IL, and Jackson Nelson of Springfield, IL, brother, Jim Ballinger, brother, Bob Ballinger, sister, Linda (Joe) Lewis as well as several beloved nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. Memorials may be made to either Rural United Methodist Church or The Macoupin Club (Lake Rinaker). Please visit www.davisandersonfuneralhome.com to leave condolences or light a candle in her memory.
